USB C supports up to USB3.2 Gen2 10Gbps transfer rate and compatible with CFA/CFB memory card, with a theoretical transfer rate of up to 1000MB/S. The card reader also supports SD4.0 SD/Micro SD card (via card adapter), with a theoretical transfer rate of up to 312MB/S.

What is the transfer interface of it?

PGYTECH card reader case is designed with a standard Type-C port and can be used with a wide range of products such as mobile phones and tablets.
It doesn't support Lightning-port iPhones and when used with desktop computers, a Type-C To USB-A adapter is required.

What types of cards are compatible with the card reader function?

 It has one CFexpress Type A card/CFexpress Type B slot, one SD slot and supports reading of CFexpress Type A/Type B, SD and Micro SD memory cards.
Note: CFexpress Type A card/CFexpress Type B card and SD/Micro SD cards cannot be read simultaneously. The product prioritizes CFexpress Type A card/CFexpress Type B card when both cards are inserted. After CFexpress data transfer, the SD card becomes accessible.
 

Does it need to be charged?

PGYTECH CreateMate Card Reader Case is plug-and-play, requiring no additional power supply in most cases. If there is a disconnection issue during the transfer process (the card can be read when connected, but the connection intermittently drops and reconnects), it may be due to insufficient power. In such cases, you can provide separate power through the external power interface of the card reader case to ensure stable operation.

Is the surface waterproof?

PGYTECH card reader case features IP54 protection and the surface can resist splashes. 

Can it work with iPhones?

The card reader case uses Type-C port and can not support Lightening-port iPhones.

Can it work with iPads?

This card reader case uses Type-C port, so: 
If your iPad uses Type-C port, you can connect them directly;
If your iPad uses Lightning port, it is not supported. 

Can PGYTECH card reader case work with desktop computers?

Yes.  But a Type-C to USB-A adapter is required as PGYTECH CreateMate Card Reader Case uses the Type-C port.

Can this card reader case read XQD cards?

No, it does not support XQD cards, but it can read CFexpress Type A card/CFexpress Type B, SD and Micro SD cards.
