How can I clean the strap? Is it washable?

The PGYTECH Camera Strap Pro is made from premium-quality genuine leather and is not recommended for direct washing with water. For surface dirt or stains, please refer to the following cleaning methods:
Spot Cleaning:                                                                                                                         - Water/Oil stains: Gently blot the stain with a clean, absorbent cloth to soak up the liquid. Do not rub forcefully.
- Stubborn stains on smooth leather: Use a leather cleaner (neutral pH), apply with a soft cloth, and clean in circular motions. Do not pour the cleaner directly onto the leather.
- Suede stains: Use a suede-specific eraser or a soft brush. Avoid water exposure.
- Ink stains: Test the edge of the stain with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol. If no discoloration occurs, proceed cautiously. (Note: Alcohol may damage certain leathers, use with care.)

How should I maintain the strap for daily use?

The PGYTECH Camera Strap Pro is made from premium-quality genuine leather. Please follow the guidelines below for daily care:
- Do not use wet wipes, soapy water, dishwashing liquids, or other alkaline cleaners.
- Do not apply regular shoe polish or furniture wax, which may damage the surface coating.
- For long-term storage, keep in a dry, well-ventilated area (recommended humidity: 40%RH–60%RH). Use desiccants to prevent mildew.
- Cedar wood blocks or mothballs may be placed near the strap to protect against mold and insects (avoid direct contact with the leather). For mildew spots, gently wipe with a cloth dampened in diluted alcohol (1:1 with water).

What is the adjustable size range of the strap?

The buckle is made of high-strength plastic and utilizes a dead-point mechanism to firmly lock the bead in place from any angle. The UHMWPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) woven cord supports up to 90kg (198.4lb).

Is the connection between the Quick Release Plate and the camera secure?

The Quick Release Plate features PGYTECH's patented anti-loosening design. Please use the included hex key to securely mount it to your camera.

What does it mean when the yellow layer of the Quick Mount Bead Cord is visible?

The Quick Mount Bead Cord is made from UHMWPE using a triple-layer weave (red, yellow, black). When the yellow layer becomes visible, it indicates significant wear. Please replace the Quick Mount Bead Cord immediately to ensure continued safety.

Can the Quick Mount Bead be connected directly to the camera?

The Quick Release Buckle and Quick Mount Bead System uses a dual-anchor design and must be used with the included Quick Release Plate. Do not connect directly to the camera's strap eyelets.

Will wearing gloves affect the operation of the quick release system?

You can operate the quick release system while wearing gloves; however, thick gloves may reduce ease of operation.

How breathable is the strap?

The Camera Strap Pro is crafted from premium cowhide leather and features 56 ventilation holes that enhance airflow and heat dissipation, effectively reducing heat buildup and ensuring long-lasting comfort.

What is the warranty coverage and period?

We provide a 3-year warranty for manufacturing defects or malfunctions that prevent full or partial use of the product.
However, cosmetic imperfections, scratches, stains, normal wear or wear from misuse, neglect, or intentional damage are not covered. Items not manufactured by PGYTECH, such as fabric components (straps, cords), are also excluded from warranty coverage unless defective upon delivery.

Can the strap be worn on either shoulder?

The Camera Strap Pro is optimized for left-shoulder cross-body wear. Right-shoulder single-strap carry is possible for temporary use.

What is the maximum length of the Underarm Strap?

The Underarm Strap extends up to 550mm (21.65in) in length.

What is the width of the strap?

The Camera Strap Pro features an asymmetrical design. The widest part at the shoulder measures 60mm (2.36in), helping to distribute pressure and reduce fatigue.

Will the Quick-Release Buckle scratch the camera?

The Quick-Release Buckle is made from plastic material and will not cause scratches with light contact. For storage, it is recommended to keep the camera and strap separate.

Is there a risk of color transfer?

The color fastness of the materials in contact with the body can reach level 4 or above for dry rubbing (friction when dry) which is considered good protection, and wet rubbing (friction when damp or sweaty) is rated at level 3 or above which is acceptable but more prone to color transfer than dry conditions. Due to the natural properties of the leather and the dyeing process, some fading or color transfer may occur during use. We recommend pairing it with similar-colored clothing.

What is the operating temperature range?

-20°C to 40°C (-4°F to 104°F).

Is the Quick Mount Bead compatible with previous versions?

Yes, it is compatible.

Is the material waterproof or sweat-resistant? Can it be used in rainy weather?

The material is not waterproof. Use in rainy weather is not recommended.

Will there be noise between the Quick-Release Plate and the Buckle during shooting?

Unlikely. The Quick-Release Plate is connected to the Buckle via an impact absorbing polyethylene cord, which does not produce any noticeable noise.

There's a slight gap between the Quick Mount Bead and the Buckle, causing a noise when moving. Is this normal?

A slight gap is intentionally left between the Quick Mount Bead and the Buckle to ensure smooth operation. This does not affect normal use or safety.

Sets a new standard for camera straps and I didn't even realize how much we needed one

I really didn’t think I would really care about a camera strap. I mean, you get them free with any camera body so I was kind of reluctant to pay much for a replacement. But I was tired of re-stringing neck straps and liked the aesthetic of PGYTECH so I rolled the dice. And I’m glad I did.

For starters, if you own more than a few cameras, it is just soooo wonderful to swap out the strap based on your need. Doing some high-risk shots? A secure wrist strap, please! All-day street photography? How about a nice neck strap. Big rig on a rigorous shoot? Heavy-duty strap at the ready. And for those who want to change out the look based on their mood? Many colors and combos.

Then there’s the feel. They’re kinda like micro-suede but even softer. What’s really important is that they grip without feeling like a worn bandaid; no sticking, no twisting, just a comfortably solid hold. Plus, they adjust intuitively and with ease.

I was a little unsure about how the straps secure to the body. Would a little ball on a string really hold a heavy rig? Would it feel secure? From my experience it absolutely does. Honestly, they feel more secure than the OEM included straps ever did.

So, on every count, these straps are a terrific value. Yes, you can find less costly variants. But, if you’re ok investing in your camera, you really should be ok with spending a little more to keep your investment safe while out and about.

Why didn’t I know about this till now...

In preparation for a recent trip to Spain I bought the PGYTech Camera Strap Pro in a desire to get rid of a bulky camera bag but have a secure way to carry an mirrorless camera. After I got the Strap I attached the arca plate with the Quick Mount beads to my Nikon and proceeded with the test the strap connection by bouncing it over my couch. Satisfied with the results I packed up and flew to Spain. After 2 weeks of using the PGYTech Camera Strap Pro every day for all day and part of the night too, I can say without reservation, this Strap works very well. I am impressed how well it holds onto a camera and how easy it is to clip-in and unclip. I would highly recommend this since it works sop well and make shooting so much easier. I never once had a sore neck or shoulder like I had with previous methods. All said, I love this and it will be a permanent part of my kit.

That said I found that, for me there are a FEW ISSUES but none are deal breakers:
1. Even fully extended the underarm strap is a bit short and was uncomfortable at time. It it was maybe another few inches longer it would be nicer. This is much more noticeable in warm / hot weather. I ended up unclipping the underarm strap but this caused #2. However even on the hottest the Strap never felt hot or uncomfortable.
2. Camera Strap Pro shoulder pad is not very grippy. Meaning that it doesn't stay in place, on the shoulder, very well. Many times I would find the shoulder pad down by my waist and have to slide it up to my shoulder.
3. I found that while standing with the Strap on you have to experiment with clipping the camera into the Sling because one way my have the lens pointing out instead of toward the body and have to unclip reverse the sides the beads clip into and try again. I'm not sure there is a good solution to this aside from trial and error.
4. It takes time to adjust the Strap and underarm strap when you first get it. But once its adjusted it seemed to stay in place and little tweaks were easy.
5. Not an issue however It would be nice if there was a way to attach a battery holder to the strap via velcro NOT A OBNOXIOUS CLIP. I looked all over and couldn't find one that would go inline with the strap from several companies looked at.
