Absolutely brilliant product

I have a couple of these mounted to all of my tripods and the clip also works in a variety of other pgytech products. This provides a good value for money because you can create a system that allows for a steady workflow. These things live on the tripod so you can essentially set it and forget it

Like many owners of the V1 Clamp and plate system, I was always wary of the locking mechanism. More than occasionally, when you thought the mount plate had snapped into place, it hadn't. Added to that, the locking switch was all too easy to knock into the unlocked position. A bit scary when there's $1000's of equipment attached to it. Obviously PGYTECH have listened to customer feedback and developed this V2 system that addresses those concerns. Though the mount plate has had a couple of minor tweaks, it remains essentially the same as the original, therefore making the two backwards and forwards compatible. The new version of the base plate though is a substantial changeup with a robust looking hammer-tone finish rather than the 'pretty' blue/grey anodization on the original as well as machine milled surfaces on the ARCA rail and top-plate. The top plate, having lost 2 of the original's 4 sides, now has 2 adjustable stop-screws to ensure there's no unwanted lateral sliding that might result in disaster. Gone is the slide locking mechanism and in its place is a more comforting lever that not only feels more secure but also disables the release button when engaged. All in all a great improvement over the original and worth the upgrade.

Great addition to a ball head without a quick release. And if you have plates and lens collars that are compatible with Arca Swiss plates, it's a great fit.

Arca-Type Quick Release Clamp & Plate V2

This clamp is awesome! The fact that you can use it with other Arca Swiss compatible mounts makes this so versitle. I bought 3! One for each of my tripods including a mini tripod.

I watched a lot of YT videos about arca-swiss plate mounts/clamps/straps. What sold me is that the PGYTECH has an easy setup that allows you to keep one plate on the camera, and move it between strap, backpack and tripod. All of the options lock, and they're SUPER solid.

Just got mine in the mail. Solid and easy to use.

This system has been excellent. Nice to switch back and forth from the belt clip to my tripod. No need to screw in and out like the generic ones.

Es sencilla de colocar y de usar. Esta nueva versi��n incluye un seguro extra, lo cual la hace todav��a m��s confiable.

This plate & system are great but they won't work in my configuration. My DSLR has an Arca Swiss adapter that also has a side slot to accommodate my hand strap. Using this quick release with this adapter would end up with Arca slots 90 degrees from the lens direction, meaning I can't use it with the tilt head on my monopod and it would also be awkward with my 3-way tilt head. I do use the V1 model with my Sony compact and it works nicely with that setup. Though it doesn't work for me, it is well made.

The locking mechanism on this one is incredibly secure. Even if the camera isn't fully tightened, the safety pins keep it from sliding off. That alone makes it worth it, considering I almost dropped my camera the other day using a generic arca mount + f38 plate. It looks great, and mounting/unmounting is definitely much smoother than the falcam F38 system. Compatibility is also excellent! I've tested it with Peak Design's dual plate, F38, Ulanzi, and various other generic arca plates I had laying around without any issues. The PGYTECH plate also fits right into my Ulanzi F38 backpack mount ( huge win ) . However its not perfect, it's heavier and bulkier than both the F38 and SmallRig plates, so it's not the most compact option. I also wish it had more threading options on the bottom for added flexibility ( maybe not important to everyone, but I like to rig up magic arms for POV shots and lights ). Overall, I really like this plate and will get a few more.
