Remove the decorative cover on the front leg and the Remote Control can be magnetically fixed to the tripod; For tripod use, please refer to quick start guide. 

 

Q2. Under what conditions can Mantis mode be applied?

Mantis Mode can only be applied when satisfying the following requirements:
1.The hanging surface should be less than 90mm thick.
2. The other two leg must be supported . 
3. Please avoid hanging it on moving vehicles, yachts and other moving objects.

 

Q3. How about the stability of Mantis mode?

The claw and the other 2 legs form a three-point stable structure to ensure overall stability and safe mounting through leverage and the photographic equipment weight, thus can hold a gear of less than 2kg.

MantisPod 2.0 Remote Control Kit is an allround tripod designed for Vloggers, with a maximum load of 2KG. It is suggested to use this tripod to hold mirrorless cameras and card cameras. Overly heavy gear may cause the deform of tripod and thus is not recommended.

MantisPod 2.0 Remote Control Kit inherits the PGYTECH quick release design and expands the Arca-compatibility so that it can harmonize with more Arca-Swiss quick release plates. Due to the differences in the size of Arca quick-release plates from different manufacturers, the specific compatibility is subject to the actual situation.





 

Q19: Can I use MantisPod 2.0 Remote Control Kit in the water?

We don't recommend using it in water because it is not waterproof. 





 

Q20: How can I connect PGYTECH Mantis RC M1 with my camera?

Long press the Video button to switch on, and press Video button 5 times to enter Bluetooth pairing. 
1)Sony cameras: Press the MENU button on the camera. Go right to Network, then select Bluetooth Settings, choose Bluetooth Function, set the setting to On, then go back to Bluetooth Settings, Choose Pairing, make sure the remote control is connected, done. 
2)Canon cameras: 
Step 1: Press the MENU button, enable Wireless Communication Settings and choose Bluetooth Function, make sure the remote control is paired, done. 
Step 2: Press the SET button, choose Driving Mode, and select Selfie: 10S/Remote Control, exit SET. 
Step 3: Before taking pictures or videos, please adjust the camera to the desired gear first.
3) GoPro: Swipe down on the screen to bring up Preferences, and tap on it. Tap on connections and choose Connect Device. Scroll down to Smart Remote and select it.





 

Q21: Can PGYTECH Mantis RC M1 be connected to smartphones?

Because of the differences in control protocols between mobile phone  manufacturers, the PGYTECH Mantis RC M1 cannot be perfectly matched with all  brands of mobile phones for the time being, and the operation and interaction  with different brands of mobile phones may vary greatly.
