Elegant, functional and a solid edition to my DJI Osmo Action 6 camera. I went for the street edition and like the extra handle to hold onto! The cage doors swing out of the way to reach both sides of the camera to access C-hub port and the battery and SD card without having to remove the camera from the cage! The weight with the cage provides a nice balance to handle this action camera and also makes the small camera feel like a professional grade piece of optical gear.

just as expected, PGYTECH scores again in making yet another classic yet attractive aluminum cage for the OA6. this cage is particularly nice given its Blue Steel (yes, watch Zoolander as you read this review) appearance, making it all the more gorgeous. of course, there's also superior functionality, with camera buttons, battery accessibility, cold shoes, and 1/4"-20 threads as required these days. no, this isn't an Xplorer grip style cage, and maybe you didn't want that anyhow. fits perfectly as well, and easy durability to match! 5 stars.

If you want to turn your Osmo Action 6 into a true vlogging powerhouse, the PGYTECH Camera Cage is a fantastic upgrade. The aluminum alloy build feels solid but lightweight, so your camera stays protected without adding bulk. The magnetic quick release makes it super easy to swap setups or go handheld in seconds. I love that you can add a mic or light with the cold shoe, and the 1/4" thread gives you flexibility for tripods or other mounts. Plus, you can change batteries and memory cards without taking the camera out of the cage. It's a smart, durable accessory that makes shooting on the go much smoother and more creative. However, this cage isn't my number 1 pick. Of the cages I've used and tested so far, my go to is the K&F Concept Alum. Alloy cage (model: KF12.0026). Why? It simply comes down to looks�� I mean, functionally, the cages are very similar. I just like the overall look and color scheme of the K&F.

I happen to be a fan of cages on all of my cameras, that includes all my mirrorless and action cameras. The cage provides additional attachment options for 1/4", action mount, and cold shoe. There are openings on the side and bottom which allow you to access the charging port and use the action mount on the bottom of the camera. Shutter release button is smooth and the lock mechanism for the hinged side allows access to insert the camera body and exchange the battery/SD card. The all metal build secures the camera well and the overall fit and finish is excellent. There is a version of this cage that comes with a grip, if I had to do it over again I would probably opt for the one with the grip. The image quality of the photos that the OA6 is quite good and the grip provides a more "camera feel" like a small point and shoot. Hopefully PGYTECH offers the handle as an add on at some point.

This is remaining on my camera. It fits perfectly, even with the macro lens. You just open the side, pushing a very nice feeling button, and open the door. The door swings open. You then slide the camera in and close the door. The camera is then protected from falls. You have no blockage to any of the screens. It makes it safer for my kids to hold and use it around tools. The finish looks nice and feels of top quality. The opposite side door allows you to access the memory card and battery with no issues. The mounts fit on both sides with no problem, so you get vertical mounts and 1/4-20 mounts. The record button is easy to press and see with the color.

The build quality of this aluminum alloy frame is fantastic and provides a massive sense of security for my gear. It fits perfectly, following every curve of the device while still keeping all the essential buttons and screens completely accessible. I love the addition of the accessory mount on the side, which makes it so simple to attach a small light or a microphone for much better video quality. It feels very professional and durable, like it can easily handle the bumps and scrapes of regular outdoor use. The standout feature is how quickly I can move from one setup to another thanks to the clever magnetic connector at the base. It saves so much time when switching between different mounts or tripods during a busy day of filming. Despite being made of metal, it remains surprisingly lightweight and does not make the setup feel bulky in my hand. It is a well-engineered piece of equipment that adds a lot of versatility and protection without getting in the way of the action.

Camera Cage For Osmo Action 6

Good fit, no rattling or wiggling inside of the cage, and it clicks shut easily- nothing feels forced. The other end opens too for easy access of the battery compartment. The overall quality is great, and it's got some weight to it, it's noticeably heavier than my K&F Concept cage, but I don't mind the extra weight of it. I prefer the shutter button on the PGYTECH cage because it doesn't jut out like the KF cage. Less likely to accidentally press it and turning on my camera and unintentionally shooting poor quality videos of the inside of my pack lol (I've done this multiple times with the KF cage). This one doesn't have a covered area over the power button, which I like. It works much better as a cage for me than any others I've tried so far.. Also, I really like the slate blue color of this cage, it's a nice contrast to the black of the action 6. And, the price is in line with others on the market too.
